MacLean of Duart

MacLean of Duart is a predominantly red tartan with gold and white lines running throughout.  It is best worn with an Argyll or Charcoal Tweed Jacket and Waistcoat.  If a Prince Charlie Jacket is preferred, then dark buttons are recommended with matching belt and sporran.

This clan held extensive lands in the Western Isles and the Highlands. They claim descent from Gillean of the Battle Axe, who lived during the reign of King Alexander III in the 13th centuary.
