Description
The Glengarry developed out of the traditional Scottish Bonnet, akin to the Balmoral, Tam o' Shanter or Kilmarnock, but with the significant difference in that it could be folded. In military units, this meant that the bonnet could be carried under the epaulettes when not being worn. Emerging from the Glengarry Fencibles, who cocked their bonnets into a point, the Glengarry in its modern form appeared from the 1840s.
The Glengarry comes complete with a red toorie (bobble). Cap badges can be purchased separately.
Measurements should be taken round the head where the bottom of the hat will sit.
